Description
RUBIKON is a mid-season spring barley variety intended for grain and fodder use. The vegetation period ranges from 70 to 93 days; the variety matures 5-6 days later than the Mamlyuk variety. The plant is of medium height with a semi-erect bush, featuring large grains of an elongated shape in a straw-yellow color; the weight of 1000 grains varies from 40 to 48 grams. The variety belongs to the natanus type and is characterized by medium resistance to lodging and drought.
RUBIKON is recommended for cultivation in the Northern zone of Krasnodar Krai and the North Caucasus region. Average yield in the zoning zone reaches 28.8 centners per hectare, exceeding the indicators of the Mamlyuk variety. Protein content in the grain is within the range of 11.1-11.8%. The variety is susceptible to powdery head smut, dwarf rust, and helminthosporium, but resistant to some other diseases, such as powdery mildew.
This barley variety is widely used in agriculture to produce high-quality grain. Due to its characteristics, it is suitable for cultivation in arid climates and ensures a stable yield. RUBIKON is distinguished by large grains and good adaptation to regional conditions, making it a profitable choice for farmers focused on grain and feed production.
