Svyatovit

Spring barley variety Svyatovit is a medium-maturing type with a vegetation period of 83 to 92 days and plant height ranging from 53 to 77 cm. This variety demonstrates high adaptability to drought-prone conditions, confirmed by a drought resistance rating of 8 points. Svyatovit is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including the Forest Steppe and Polissia, and is suitable for high-intensity farming. Thousand-grain weight ranges from 46 to 52 grams, and potential yield reaches 7 tons per hectare, which exceeds standard varieties by 11-18%. Svyatovit exhibits high resistance to major barley diseases, including helminthosporiosis, powdery mildew, and rust diseases, with resistance ratings of 8 to 9 points. Additionally, the variety shows high resistance to lodging and shattering, contributing to yield retention and improved grain quality. Protein content in grain varies from 11.3% to 12.7%, and extractability reaches 78-80%, making this variety especially attractive for the brewing industry. To achieve optimal yield, it is recommended to apply fertilizers and protective agents such as Vitavax 200FF, Yunta Quadro, or Celest Top, ensuring reliable disease protection and healthy plant growth. Seeds are supplied in 1000 kg packages and require storage at temperatures between +7°C and +10°C with humidity not exceeding 10%. The variety is produced in Ukraine, guaranteeing its adaptation to local climatic conditions and agronomic requirements.
