Ilot

The barley variety 'Ilot' is mid-early maturing and belongs to the 'Nutans' group. It is recommended for cultivation in the steppe zone and is characterized by stable high yields reaching 5.5 tons per hectare. The vegetation period of the variety is 90-94 days, allowing it to be effectively utilized in regional agrotechnologies. The plant has a height of 81 to 90 cm and a semi-erect bush, which contributes to good growth and resilience.

The ear of the variety is two-rowed, 8-10 cm long, with elongated-elliptical grains and yellow color. The 1000-grain weight varies from 43 to 46 grams, indicating the grain's large size and quality. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, drought, and diseases including rust, with a resistance rating of 8-9 points. These characteristics make 'Ilot' a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality yields.

The variety was developed by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and registered in 2009. Its main use is for grain production, suitable for both food and feed industries. Due to its agronomic and biological traits, the variety 'Ilot' responds well to high fertility, allowing its full potential to be realized with proper agricultural practices.
