Cerbinetta

Cerbinetta — spring barley for brewing, characterized by high yield and low protein content, making it especially valuable for the brewing industry. The vegetation period of the variety varies depending on the climatic zone: in the Polissia region it is about 94 days, in the Forest-Steppe — 85 days, and in the Steppe — 90 days. Plants reach a height of 57–65 cm and have a two-row ear type, which promotes good tillering and high yield.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, ensuring crop preservation even under adverse weather conditions. In addition, Cerbinetta has very high frost resistance and high drought tolerance, allowing it to be grown in both more humid and drier regions. It also shows high resistance to powdery mildew, sooty mold, false powdery mildew, and helminthosporiosis, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss due to diseases.

The grain of the variety contains about 10% protein and is characterized by high extractives content — 83.1%, which is an important indicator for brewing barley. For sowing, it is recommended to use 3–3.5 million viable seeds for early sowing and 3.3–3.8 million for late sowing. Cerbinetta is available in 50 kg and 1000 kg packages, with a minimum order of 100 kg. The variety belongs to the first reproduction (SN-1) and is a reliable choice for farmers oriented toward producing high-quality brewing raw material.
