Gesine barley is a winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L. sensu lato) included in the State Register since 2016. The developer of this variety is SAATEN-UNION GMBH. This variety is adapted for cultivation in various regions, as confirmed by its inclusion in the register for five regions.
Gesine barley seeds are characterized by high quality and possess several important agronomic advantages. They provide high yields, resistance to adverse weather conditions such as frost and drought, as well as immunity to major diseases and pests. Thanks to these features, this variety is suitable for planting in various climatic zones, including all regions of Ukraine.
The use of the Gesine variety is effective in the feed sector, making it popular among agricultural producers. High germination and stable yield allow optimizing agronomic practices and obtaining quality products. Seed packaging is usually done in 25-kilogram bags, which is convenient for transportation and storage.
