The winter barley variety Bente is a high-yielding crop with early maturity, having a vegetation period of 80-87 days. The plants are low-growing, reaching 50-60 cm in height, which promotes efficient fertilizer use and reduces the risk of lodging. The variety is highly drought-tolerant, rated at 9 points, and lodging-resistant at 8 points, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

Bente is primarily intended for fodder use, although in some regions it is also used in the brewing industry. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 45 to 55 grams, and its potential yield reaches 8 tons per hectare. The variety is recommended for cultivation in all zones, including the Volga-Vyatka region, Perm Krai, and Sverdlovsk Oblast, with an optimal seeding rate of 3-4 million seeds per hectare. Optimal preceding crops include pea, corn, rapeseed, and soy.

Bente exhibits moderate resistance to several diseases, including powdery mildew, net blotch, yellow rust, rhiopsoriasis, and black smut, ensuring stable yields. The protein content in the grain is 11.8-12.2%. The variety is cold-tolerant up to -8°C and requires storage at +7-10°C with humidity not exceeding 10%. Produced in Germany and supplied in 1000 kg packages. High yield, resistance to adverse conditions and diseases make Bente an attractive choice for farmers focused on fodder production.
