Ellinor

Barley variety Ellinor is a new high-yielding brewing variety that has gained wide recognition in Europe due to its stable and high yield. It performs particularly well in continental climates with periodic water deficits and high temperatures, and is ideally suited for medium to high-quality soils. The plant is medium-height, with good resistance to lodging and spike breakage, ensuring harvest stability and grain quality.

The grain of Ellinor variety is characterized by large size, high uniformity, and density, with a thousand-grain weight of approximately 50 grams. It has low protein content (not exceeding 11.7%), which is an important indicator for the brewing industry, as well as high extractability. The variety demonstrates excellent resistance to major barley diseases such as powdery mildew, rhiophytophthora, barley rust, and smut, which helps reduce yield losses and the need for treatments.

The recommended sowing rate is approximately 300-350 germinating seeds per square meter, equivalent to 150-170 kg per hectare. The variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Northern-Western, Central, and Central Chernozem regions of Ukraine, and can achieve maximum yields of up to 90 centners per hectare. Thanks to its qualities and adaptability, Ellinor barley is an excellent choice for the brewing industry and farmers seeking a stable and high-quality harvest.
