Maize Rostavitsia

Reliable grain from Ukrainian selection

«Rostavytsia» is a mid-early maize hybrid that has become a staple for farmers focused on commercial grain production. Developed by experts at the National Research Center «Institute of Agriculture of NAAS», it was designed as a tool for efficient farming under moderate climatic risks.

Key advantages

The main strength of this hybrid is its plasticity. Unlike intensive foreign hybrids that require perfect growing conditions and expensive protection systems, «Rostavytsia» delivers predictable results using extensive and semi-intensive technologies. This makes it an optimal choice for farms aiming to reduce production costs per ton without sacrificing quality.

Pros and Cons

• Yield potential: Consistently high grain output in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine.
• Moisture release: Average performance, which requires precise harvest planning to minimize drying costs.
• Resilience: Good resistance to lodging and region-specific maize diseases, reducing the risk of field losses.

While the hybrid may not be a record-breaker in early-stage growth speed, its deep adaptation to local soil and climatic conditions ensures steady grain filling even under moisture stress during the second half of the summer. If your strategy relies on reliability and predictability rather than risky investments in high-cost premium seeds, «Rostavytsia» is a sound choice for your crop rotation.
