The spring barley variety 'GREYCE' is a mid-season, intensive variety with short stems and high resistance to lodging. The vegetative period ranges from 70 to 85 days, allowing for efficient use under various climatic conditions. This variety features large grains with a thousand-kernel weight between 39-50 grams, contributing to high yields reaching up to 91.2 centners per hectare under favorable conditions.

'GREYCE' is primarily intended for the brewing industry, due to its quality characteristics and resistance to major diseases. The variety exhibits high resistance to net blotch and dwarf rust, as well as medium resistance to rhynchosporium. However, it is susceptible to powdery mildew, net blotch, and in some cases, susceptible to infestation by loose smut, which requires seed treatment and, if necessary, fungicide application for crop protection.
