CHELKUNCHIK

The Eggplant variety Chelkunichik is a fast-maturing and high-yielding hybrid, created for cultivation in northern and central regions. This variety is characterized by its hardiness and strong immunity to diseases and pests, which eases care and makes it suitable for growing both in open and closed ground. Seedlings are planted at the beginning of June, after which the plants are hilled up and fertilized to achieve maximum yield.

The Chelkunichik eggplant fruits have a teardrop or oval shape, measuring 12 to 14 cm in length and weighing 238 to 350 grams. They feature a dense structure, rich purple coloration, and lack bitterness, making them particularly attractive for culinary use. Thanks to good transportability and the ability to store for a long time, this variety is suitable for commercial growing and sales.

The maturation period for Chelkunichik eggplants is 98 to 105 days, during which the harvest is collected in several stages, allowing for fresh fruits to be obtained for an extended period. The bushes are semi-spreading with large prickly leaves, ensuring good ventilation and reducing the risk of diseases. The yield reaches 12.8 kg per square meter, confirming the high productivity of the variety.
