BOROVICHOK

BOROVICHOK — a mid-season eggplant variety with a period from germination to technical ripeness of about 110–120 days. The plant is medium-sized, semi-spreading, reaching a height of up to 80 cm. The fruits of this variety have a spherical shape, light purple color, and a fairly large size, weighing from 300 to 330 grams. The flesh of the eggplant is white, extremely tender, completely devoid of bitterness, with a unique flavor reminiscent of forest mushrooms, which makes this variety particularly attractive for culinary use.

The BOROVICHOK variety is excellent for growing both in open ground and in film greenhouses. To obtain quality seedlings, sowing is carried out at the end of February, followed by pinching out at the seed leaf stage. Seedling transplanting is recommended at the end of May. During cultivation, it is important to shape the plant by removing side shoots and leaves up to the first fork, which promotes better development and fruiting. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm.

This eggplant variety is distinguished by its high commercial yield, reaching 5.5 kg per square meter. Due to its taste qualities and flesh structure, BOROVICHOK is considered one of the best varieties for stuffing. Its fruits are portioned, which is convenient for preparing various dishes, and the lack of bitterness and tender taste make it universal and in demand among gardeners and cooks.
