The 'Scromnisca Kalentieva' apple is the result of the breeding work of a local amateur gardener, Viktor Mikhailovich Kalentiev, from the village of Srednyaya Shush in the Shushensky District. This is a medium-sized tree with a rounded crown of medium density, which facilitates harvesting. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to major pests and diseases, and excellent adaptation to Siberian conditions, making it undemanding and robust.
The fruits of the 'Scromnisca Kalentieva' variety have an attractive appearance: they are smooth, round, with a greenish-yellow base and a bright dark-red flush. Apples differ by dense, fine-grained, juicy yellow flesh with a pleasant aroma. Taste qualities are rated at 4.5 points; the flesh is sweet with almost no acidity. The pedicel is long and strong, which is convenient when picking fruits. Apples have high transportability and are resistant to shedding.
The variety is characterized by high yield, which averages about 5.9 kg per tree over the first three years of fruiting, with a maximum yield exceeding 20 kg. Fruits ripen in early September and belong to the winter storage category; they can be stored for 6-7 months, which significantly extends the fresh consumption period. Trees have a spreading crown with conveniently branching branches and are capable of withstanding frosts down to -40°С.
