Apple ALAIA ZARIA

Efficiency and Orchard Management

The column-shaped 'Alaya Zarya' is designed for those who optimize every square meter of their land. Its compact crown virtually eliminates the need for intensive pruning, significantly reducing maintenance labor. For the orchard operator, this means easier access to fruit without the need for tall ladders, ensuring a faster harvest process and minimal mechanical damage to the apples.

Durability and Protection

Developed by the Federal Research Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, this variety is built for resilience. Its high winter hardiness allows it to perform reliably in harsh climates. A significant operational advantage is its genetic resistance to scab, which allows growers to reduce the frequency and cost of fungicide treatments. While it is necessary to monitor for powdery mildew, the overall health profile of the tree reduces the need for heavy chemical intervention.

Yield and Storage Logistics

The fruit weighs 150–200 grams and features an attractive yellow-green background with a prominent red blush. The slightly flattened shape allows for efficient packing. However, operators must plan for the short shelf life, which is limited to one month. This variety is best suited for fresh market sales or immediate consumption rather than long-term storage. 'Alaya Zarya' is a specialized tool for intensive horticulture, focusing on ease of care and high-quality yield in compact spaces.
