Sprint

The Sprint apple tree is a medium-sized tree with high frost hardiness, which allows for successful cultivation in cold climatic zones. The tree quickly begins fruiting from the 3rd-4th year of life and is characterized by good tolerance to heat and dry winds. An adult tree reaches a height of up to 5 meters and possesses high resistance to diseases, making it a reliable choice for gardeners.

The fruits of the Sprint apple tree are very small, weighing about 5 grams, and are round in shape. The main fruit coloration is light yellow with a dark red covering blush. The flesh is yellow, loose, and juicy, but has an astringent taste that is evaluated as unsatisfactory, making the fruits practically inedible for fresh consumption. Because of this, the variety is more often used as a pollinator for other apple trees.

Despite the modest taste qualities of the fruits, the Sprint variety is valued for its adaptability and resistance to unfavorable conditions. It is registered for cultivation in the North Caucasus region and has its origin in the Republic of Crimea. Thanks to its characteristics, the Sprint apple tree can become a useful addition to the garden, especially as a pollinator to improve the yield of other varieties.
