SAMARSKY RUBIN

The Samarsky Rubin apple variety is a fast-growing medium-sized tree with a rounded crown. This variety was bred as a cross between the Kutuzovets and Orlik varieties, providing it with high yield and disease resistance. The trees have good winter hardiness and can withstand frost down to -30°C, making them suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Samara region.

The fruits of Samarsky Rubin are medium to above-average size, weighing about 130 grams, round, sometimes slightly flattened or ribbed. The fruit skin is smooth, shiny, and dry, with a main light-yellow coloring and a cover of raspberry-red with stripes and streaks. The apple flesh is white, medium density, fine-grained, very juicy, with a characteristic spiciness and a faint aroma. The fruit taste is sour-sweet, making them attractive to consumers.

The fruit ripening period falls in the early autumn period — from late August to early October, depending on climatic conditions. Under Samara conditions, harvestable maturity occurs in the first half of September, and the consumer period lasts until mid-February. Thanks to its qualities and resistance to powdery mildew, the Samarsky Rubin variety is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a stable and high-quality apple harvest.
