NARODNOE DAGESTANA

The 'Narodnoe Dagestana' apple variety is a medium-sized tree with a dense, rounded canopy and straight branches that emerge from the trunk at an angle close to 90 degrees. The leaves are large and oblong, dark green with delicate veining, while the flowers are large, white, and fragrant. The fruiting is mixed, ensuring a stable yield. The bark on the trunk and main branches has a peeling structure with a brown hue and a greenish tinge. The tree grows rapidly and has good disease resistance, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. The fruits of the 'Narodnoe Dagestana' variety have a medium or above-average size (140–170 g), a flat-round shape with a smooth or slightly ribbed surface. The fruit color is golden-yellow with a red or dark-red blurred blush on part of the surface. The flesh is yellow, medium density, finely grained, juicy, and sweet-sour with a moderate aroma. The fruits have high market and consumer qualities, making them attractive for fresh consumption. The yield is high and can reach up to 25 tons per hectare. The variety was bred at the Dagestan Fruit Breeding Experimental Station from open-pollination of the local 'Omarovskoe' variety and is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. Thanks to its high resistance to scab and other diseases, as well as early fruiting and self-fertility, 'Narodnoe Dagestana' is a promising variety for intensive gardening. It combines the best qualities of its ancestors, improving the taste and storage duration of the fruit, which confirms its popularity among gardeners and consumers.
