Late-winter variety, selected by the North Caucasus Research Institute of Mountain and foothill fruit growing. Obtained by hybridization of Renet Simirenko with Antonovka ordinary. Breeders: R. S. Shidakov, A. S. Shidakova.
Medium-sized tree with a compact, dense crown. Main branches are thickened, short, straight, greenish-brown. Fruit-bearing type is mixed, on fruiting spurs and buds.
Thickened shoots with shortened internodes, hairy, greenish-brown with small white tubercles.
Leaves of medium size, elongated-oval, slightly curved, strongly wrinkled, with a bluish bloom, finely serrated edges, single- or double-toothed, dark green color, thickened petioles of medium size, bracteoles lanceolate or oval.
Flowers of medium size, cup-shaped, semi-double, small petals, white-pink. Stigmas densely hairy, medium length, stigma below stamens.
Fruits of medium or above-medium size (145-160 g), round, slightly flattened. Skin of medium thickness, smooth, shiny, green when picked, yellow at consumer ripeness. Calyx large, open, dish deep, funnel rust-colored, with short pedicel.
Flesh light-yellow, firm, juicy, finely textured. Fruit contains: sugars — 8.9%, titratable acids — 0.56%, and ascorbic acid — 8.9 mg/100g.
Late-winter ripening. Rapid fruiting (fruiting begins on the 3rd-4th year after planting in the orchard), high-yielding.
Advantages of the variety: low growth and small crown dimensions, high and regular yield, resistance to fungal diseases.
Disadvantages of the variety: less attractive fruit appearance, netting on fruits, and slightly sour taste.
