Winter variety selected by the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Cultivation. Obtained from seedlings of free pollination of the 'Yadubetskaya Weeping' variety. Breeders: M. A. Mazunin, N. F. Mazunina, V. I. Putyatyn. Cultivated in the Ural horticultural zone. Approved in 2002.
Tree is a natural dwarf with a flat-horizontally spreading crown. Height of trees on seedling rootstocks up to 1.5-2.0 m, on vegetatively propagated clonal rootstocks up to 1.0-1.5 m. Bark on trunk and main branches dark brown. Fruit-bearing on all types of fruiting wood, often bears fruit on last year's growth.
Shoots are greenish-brown, thick, elastic. Leaves are large, elongated-oval, dark green, slightly hairy, with finely serrated edges.
Fruits are medium-sized, flat-round. Fruit skin is smooth, dry, glossy, greenish-yellow with strong dark-red blush on most of the fruit. Peduncle is medium-length, thick, upright.
Fruit flesh is creamy, dense, juicy, finely-grained, tart-sweet, good taste.
Fruits contain 14.6% soluble dry matter, 10.8% sugars, 0.8% titratable acids, 15.6 mg/100g ascorbic acid, and 1.7% pectin substances (on fresh weight).
Storage life is 110 days.
Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing: compotes, jams, preserves.
Best pollinators: varieties 'Podsnezhnik', 'Bratchud', 'Kovrovoye'.
Trees begin fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after grafting. Fruit-bearing is irregular. Yield up to 65 kg per tree. Winter hardiness of the variety is good. During years of epiphytotic scab, disease severity does not exceed 1 point.
Advantages of the variety: natural dwarf habit, yield, high fruit flavor and commercial qualities, large fruit size.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient winter hardiness of fruit buds, irregular fruiting, under prolonged high summer temperatures and dry air, fruit quality decreases.
