Winter variety selected at the Rossoshanskaya Zonal Experimental Station for Horticulture. Obtained from crossing 2n-24-62 (Kandil-Chinatown x Welles) x 2n-21-62 (Kandil-Chinatown x Welles). The breeders are M. M. Ulyanichshev, A. M. Ulyanichsheva, O. I. Kолодий, N. A. Polyakova. Approved in 2000.
Trees are medium-sized, dwarf type, grow slowly due to high fruiting and yield. The crown is round, weakly dense, with weak branch production.
Branches are reddish-brown, slightly hairy. Leaves are large, green with serrated edges and medium-length petioles.
Fruits are large, average weight 220 g, up to 300 g, elongated. Main color is whitish, covering color is faintly striped, raspberry-red. Peduncle is short. Chambers are widely open.
Flesh is white, tender, juicy, slightly sour-sweet, with strong aroma and excellent flavor. Harvesting maturity in southern Voronezh Oblast occurs mid-September; consumption period lasts 150 days.
High yield. From one-year planting, average yield over 5-8 years of growth is 46 centners per hectare. Cold resistance is high; no frost damage observed even in severe winters. Affected by scab at moderate levels during epiphytotic years.
Advantages of the variety: restrained tree growth, exceptional fruiting and yield, high commercial and consumer fruit quality.
Disadvantage — susceptibility to scab during epiphytotic years.
During harvesting, packaging, and transportation, fruits require careful handling; however, in terms of attractiveness and flavor, this variety has no equal.
