The apple tree variety Skifyanka is a winter-hardy, medium-sized tree with a rounded, slightly dense crown, well-adapted to various soils and climatic conditions. The tree is characterized by high yield and early fruiting, beginning to bear fruit as early as the 2nd-3rd year. The variety is resistant to scab and powdery mildew, and possesses immunity to pests, significantly simplifying care and enhancing fruit quality. Tree height ranges from 1.8 to 4 meters, allowing cultivation on both standard and dwarf rootstocks.
The fruits of the Skifyanka apple are large, weighing from 100 to 190 grams, with a round-conical shape and ribbed top. The skin is thin and elastic, with a bright red-orange or light-orange blush covering most of the fruit. The flesh is a light creamy color, medium density, very juicy and finely textured, with a harmonious sour-sweet taste and pleasant aroma. Apples are of universal use, suitable for both fresh consumption and for producing high-quality juices.
Fruit ripening occurs at the end of September to the beginning of October, and the harvest retains good storage quality in a refrigerator for 3-4 months, enabling use until spring. The fruit's transportability is high, making the variety popular in the market. Due to its qualities and adaptability, the Skifyanka apple can be successfully grown in all regions of Ukraine, ensuring a stable and abundant harvest of delicious and nutritious apples.
