Description AMBROSIA
The Ambrosia apple tree is a medium-sized tree with a wide, spreading crown and robust branches. This winter-ripening variety is characterized by high yield and stable fruiting starting from the 2-3rd year after planting. The tree exhibits high frost resistance and resistance to most diseases, including brown spot, powdery mildew, and scab, and is weakly affected by pests. To obtain maximum yield, the presence of good pollinators such as Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Piros, Mutu, and Pinova is recommended. Ambrosia fruits are large, weighing from 180 to 280 grams, and have an elongated-conical or slightly tapering base shape. The skin is thin, smooth, and shiny, with a creamy-yellow background and a bright orange-red or dark pink blush. The apple flesh is creamy or white in color, dense, crisp, and juicy, with a pleasant fruity aroma and honey flavor with notes of vanilla, melon, banana, pear, and flowers of wild honey plants. Fruits are characterized by low acid content, making them especially suitable for baby food and people with high acidity. Apple ripening occurs in early October to early November, depending on the region and growing conditions. Apples are well preserved in the refrigerator for 4-8 months, making the Ambrosia variety an excellent choice for long-term storage and use in fresh form, as well as for culinary purposes. Due to their taste qualities and resistance to unfavorable conditions, this variety is popular among gardeners and consumers worldwide.
