Description RUBY STAR
Ruby Star – a decorative Antirrhinum (Antirrhinum majus), known for its bright ruby inflorescences and compact growth. The plant reaches a height of 35 to 90 cm depending on the selected group, but usually remains low and dense, making it ideal for flower beds, group plantings, and cut flowers. Stems are sturdy and not prone to lodging, while leaves are lanceolate or elongated-oval, arranged in opposite order.

Antirrhinum flowers have a characteristic "snout-like" shape: large, ruby-red, gathered in raceme-like inflorescences. They bloom from late June until late frosts and can remain in water for up to two weeks, making them popular for bouquets and decorative compositions. Ruby Star is distinguished by high disease resistance and undemanding soil requirements: prefers light, well-drained soils, but can grow in various soil types.

For cultivation, the seedling method is recommended with seed sowing (approximately 4000–8000 pieces per gram). The plant easily adapts to a moderate climate and withstands cold-hardy conditions, but requires regular watering during dry periods. Thanks to its beauty and ease of care, the Ruby Star is an excellent choice for both gardeners and professional florists looking for a bright and reliable plant for cut flowers.
