Antirrhinum «Brazilian Carnival» is an annual plant with a robust habit reaching up to 80 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate, arranged oppositely, while short peduncles form tall inflorescences in various shades: white, yellow, pink, red, and dark purple.
The flowers are two-lipped, 4–6 cm long and up to 5 cm in diameter. Their shape resembles the mouth of the king of beasts, which gave the name «Brazilian Carnival». The flowers are bright and saturated, so the plant is widely used both for decorating garden beds and as cut flowers.
Sow seeds for seedlings in March; after the first seedlings appear, transplant them, and in mid-May plant them in open ground. Flowering begins in June and continues until the first frosts. For better branching of bushes, it is recommended to pinch plants at the 5–6 true leaf stage.
