Description Flame
Flame cherry is a vigorous tree or shrub with a rounded crown, reaching up to 5 meters in height. This variety is characterized by high yield and prefers sunny locations with moderate soil moisture, including loams, brown soils, and chernozems. Flowering occurs in May, and fruit ripening takes place in August. Leaves remain from April to October, providing a long-lasting decorative effect.

Fruits of Flame cherry are large, averaging about 25 grams, with a bright yellow-red color, giving them an attractive appearance. The tree is resistant to some diseases, but may be affected by powdery mildew and leaf spot, as well as pests such as leaf roller, spider mite, aphids, and fruit moth. The variety is known for its good winter hardiness and drought tolerance, and does not produce root suckers, which simplifies care and planting.

In addition to its fruiting purpose, Flame cherry can also be used in ornamental gardening due to its compact, dense crown and red-brown branches with leaves resembling flames. Flowers are pink, adding aesthetic value to the plant. The variety serves as a universal rootstock for plum, cherry, apricot, and peach, expanding its application in gardening and horticulture.
