Distinguished among local forms of almond in Crimea. Originator — State Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Author: K.F. Kostina. Cultivated in the North Caucasus region and included in the State Register since 1954.
Strong-growing tree, crown broadly round and dense.
Fruits of medium size, round, burgundy-red, with numerous white spots and slight waxy coating. Flesh is yellow, pink near the skin, tender, juicy, pleasantly sour-sweet. Stone does not detach. Fruits suitable for fresh consumption and canning (except for compote and jam).
Ripens early — at the beginning of July. High yield. Low cold and drought resistance. Resistant to moniliosis, moderately affected by clasterosporiosis.
