During the active growth phase, the plants require consistent warmth and moisture, while the dormant season requires a significantly cooler and drier environment to stimulate the development of future flower spikes.

For potting, an open and airy substrate is essential to prevent root asphyxiation. A mixture of pine bark, charcoal, and perlite or sphagnum moss is highly recommended. The pot must have excellent drainage, as the roots are sensitive to waterlogging, which often leads to rapid decay in compacted soils.
