Description MOSCOW 23
The Amur honeysuckle variety Moscow 23 is a medium-sized bush with a wide-rounded crown and a height of about 1.8-1.9 meters. The canes are light brown, curved, and hairy, while the leaves are bright green with an oval base. The bushes have good winter hardiness and are suitable for cultivation in various regions provided there is a sunny location and well-fertilized soil. It is recommended to plant plants at least 1.5 meters apart and prune only dried branches to maintain bush health.

The fruits of Amur honeysuckle Moscow 23 have a pear-like oval shape, dark blue or almost black color with a bluish waxy coating. The berries are of medium size, weighing about 0.75-0.8 grams, 19 mm long and 10 mm in diameter, with a dense skin and fibrous pulp. The taste is dessert-like, sweet and sour with bitter notes and a strong aroma, which ensures a high tasting score. Upon ripening, the berries have medium shedding.

The variety is self-sterile, so pollinators such as Malvina, Fortuna, Sinichka, Goluoye Verteno, Sinaya Ptitsa, and others are necessary to obtain a high yield. The yield of the variety is about 63.7 centners per hectare, and the ripening period is early or medium, which allows using Amur honeysuckle Moscow 23 in various climatic conditions. The high content of vitamin C in the fruits makes this variety particularly valuable for healthy eating.
