Lonicera 'IVUSHKA' is a type of honeysuckle with high frost resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures from -30 °C and above. The plant reaches a height of 1–1.5 m in maturity and is characterized by backchary breeding, which ensures stable fruit quality.
The fruits of the 'IVUSHKA' variety differ in sweet taste without acidity, medium size (1.6–2.6 kg), and early ripening period – beginning of June. Yield is about 3.5 kg per bush, which makes it attractive for both home growing and small commercial plantations.
The berries contain a significant amount of vitamin C (up to 79 mg/100 g) and other biologically active substances – carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid, as well as micro- and macro-elements. Due to drought, frost, and adverse climatic conditions resistance, 'IVUSHKA' is suitable for growing in various regions, including far eastern territories. This makes the variety universal as a decorative element of the garden and a source of useful berries.
