Jerusalem Artichoke PASKO

Operational Advantages of Jerusalem Artichoke Variety "Pas'ko"

The "Pas'ko" variety is designed for commercial efficiency, specifically targeting growers who require uniformity and ease of processing. Its distinct oval shape and white skin make it a standout choice for operations that prioritize mechanical harvesting and industrial-grade throughput.

Strategic Applications

• Food Industry: The clean, white skin and consistent oval shape reduce labor costs during sorting and peeling. It is widely used for producing natural snacks, health food ingredients, and inulin extraction.
• Industrial Processing: Due to its biological properties, this variety serves as a reliable feedstock for industrial applications, including biofuel production and technical additives.
• Harvest Efficiency: The shape of the tubers ensures minimal mechanical damage when using standard potato harvesters, significantly increasing the shelf life and quality of the final harvest.

Originated by KFH Anushkevich N.Y., this variety provides a stable alternative to wild-type Jerusalem artichoke. By choosing "Pas'ko," farmers can integrate a predictable and high-yield crop into their rotation, ensuring that both their field operations and industrial off-take contracts are met with consistency. This variety is an investment in production efficiency, reducing the manual labor usually associated with tuber crops and ensuring a uniform raw material supply for secondary processing.
