Description Ivory
Ivory — an early-maturing oat variety, suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows. This variety is characterized by high drought tolerance and adaptability to different soils, ensuring stable yields across regions. Average yield ranges from 4.2 to 5.8 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of approximately 70 cm, facilitating harvesting and reducing lodging risk.

The Ivory variety features a high 1000-seed mass, reaching 40–43 grams, as well as excellent grading — 9 out of 9 points. The grain contains about 15% protein, and husk content is 27%, indicating high grain quality. Early flowering and medium-early harmonious maturation of grain and straw make this variety optimal for direct combine harvesting, simplifying the harvesting process.

Additionally, this variety exhibits resistance to multiple diseases, including powdery mildew, leaf spot, spike rust, and septoria. It also shows resistance to stem breakage, shattering, and lodging, enhancing yield retention. Sowing rates vary depending on planting timing: 3.7 million seeds per hectare for early plantings, 4.4 million for medium plantings, and 5 million for late plantings. The breeder of this variety is Saaten Union GmbH from Germany.
