Soyuz

The 'Soyuz' apple variety is a summer triploid variety created through a collaboration between the Siberian Federal Research Center for Plant Industry (SKFNC SVV) and the All-Russian Research Institute of Horticulture (VNII SPIK). The trees are of medium height with round, spreading crowns and a powerful root system, ensuring good winter hardiness and resistance to adverse conditions. The variety begins fruiting as early as the 3rd or 4th year after planting, demonstrating its precocity and high productivity. Thanks to its strong immunity, 'Soyuz' is resistant to scab, powdery mildew, gray rot, speckling, and brown rot, which significantly eases care and reduces the need for chemical treatments.

The fruits of the 'Soyuz' apple are distinguished by their large size – the weight can reach up to 355 grams; they are uniform, round in shape with a smooth surface and a vividly expressed raspberry blush. The flesh is juicy, acid-sweet, possesses an excellent dessert taste and a refined aroma, making this variety particularly attractive to consumers. The ripening period falls in the second decade of July, allowing for an early harvest of summer apples.

The variety prefers cultivation on fertile soils and sunny locations, which promotes the development of a powerful root system and good fruiting. Thanks to its commercial and taste qualities, as well as high resistance to diseases and frosts, the 'Soyuz' apple is suitable for both home gardeners and industrial plantations in various regions.
