ABALONIA

The Abalonia apple tree is a medium-sized tree with a rounded crown of medium density, bred at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Floriculture and Subtropical Cultures. This variety is intended for growing in southern regions of Russia, especially in the North Caucasus region, and is characterized by early fruiting, starting to bear fruit as early as the second or third year after planting. The tree has resistance to scab and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for gardeners seeking regular and abundant harvests.

The fruits of Abalonia are large, with a mass ranging from 140 to 300 grams, with an average mass of about 185-210 grams. Apples have a round, regular shape with smooth skin, colored golden-yellow with pink-red or orange-red stripes on the sunny side. The flesh is white or light yellow, juicy, sweet and sour, medium firmness, and finely granular, with a slight aroma. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, and when stored in the refrigerator can be kept until January-February.

The variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching up to 30 tons per hectare, and regular fruiting. Abalonia has medium frost resistance, which limits its cultivation in colder regions. Fruiting begins quite early, allowing for harvest a few years after planting.
