The apple tree variety Minister Kiselyov is a large tree with a round crown of medium density. This winter triploid variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Cleanliness and Welsy tetraploid varieties, characterized by high yield, exceeding the control Sinap Orlovsky variety by 50%. The tree is characterized by regular and abundant fruiting, resistance to scab, good frost hardiness, and drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for growing in various climatic conditions. Minister Kiselyov apple fruits weigh about 170 grams; they are flattened, conical shape with wide ribs and smooth shiny surface. The main color of the skin at picking maturity is green, with a blurred raspberry blush over most of the fruit. Subcutaneous dots are gray and numerous. The pulp is greenish, medium-dense, fine-grained, and juicy. The taste of the fruits is sour-sweet with a moderate aroma, which is confirmed by an assessment of taste and external qualities at the level of 4.4 points. Harvesting maturity occurs approximately on September 15th, and the storage period can last until mid-March, allowing apples to be used for a long time after harvest. The chemical composition of the fruits includes 14.2% soluble dry matter, 13.11% sugars, 0.59% organic acids, ascorbic acid in an amount of 3.4 mg per 100 grams and 387 mg P-active substances per 100 grams. These characteristics make the Minister Kiselyov variety attractive for both fresh consumption and processing.
