The mild spring wheat variety «Yoldyz» is a medium-maturing Lutescence type with a vegetation period of 78 to 95 days. The plant is medium-height with a semi-erect bush, weakly formed straw, a spindle-shaped ear of medium density, white in color with short awn-like appendages. The weight of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 42 grams; the grain is colored, and in terms of vitreousness and nature, it corresponds to the first quality class. The variety was bred by Russian breeders of the Federal Research Center of the Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. «Yoldyz» is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, and Middle Volga regions, as well as in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Penza, Nizhny Novgorod, and Tambov regions. The average yield of the variety ranges from 27.3 to 42.2 centners per hectare depending on the region, which is several centners higher than the average standards. The maximum registered yield reached 84 centners per hectare. The variety is characterized by drought resistance at the level of standards and moderate resistance to brown rust, which enhances its reliability in unfavorable climatic conditions. A feature of the variety is the high quality of the grain, suitable for bakery production, where it performs well as a filler. The plant matures simultaneously with such varieties as Simbirtsit and Kinel’s Niva and possesses lodging resistance, losing no more than one point to the standards. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, wheat «Yoldyz» is a promising choice for agrarians seeking a stable and high-quality yield of mild spring wheat.
