Agrotechnical Profile of the Farmquick Hybrid

The German breeding company Deutsche Saatveredelung AG (DSV) introduces the Farmquick (F1) hybrid as a high-performance tool for intensive farming. As a new variety registered in Ukraine in 2026, its success relies heavily on adhering to specific cultivation protocols designed to unlock its genetic potential in temperate climates.

Sowing and Density Recommendations

To achieve maximum yield, Farmquick requires precise timing. The optimal sowing window begins when soil temperatures at seeding depth reach +10...+12°C. Early sowing in cold soil may delay emergence, which is critical for an F1 hybrid. The recommended plant density at harvest ranges from 70,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare, depending on the regional moisture availability.

Soil Requirements and Nutrition

This hybrid thrives in fertile, well-aerated soils with a neutral pH. On loamy chernozems, Farmquick shows superior root system development. In terms of nutrition, a split nitrogen application is prioritized: 30% at sowing and 70% during the 5–7 leaf stage. Ensuring adequate phosphorus availability at the start is essential for establishing a robust primary root system.

Care by Growth Stages

• Emergence to 5 Leaves: Focus on controlling soil pests and weeds, as the hybrid is most vulnerable to competition during this phase.
• 6–10 Leaves: Rapid vegetative growth occurs here. Foliar application of micronutrients, particularly zinc, is recommended to stimulate enzymatic processes.
• Tasseling to Silking: This is the critical water-consumption period. Moisture stress during this interval can significantly reduce kernel set and ear development.
