OSPI Prior

Winter wheat OSPІ Prior — a high-yielding and high-intensity medium-maturing variety with a vegetation period of 269 to 280 days. This variety features a short stem ranging from 68 to 95 cm, providing resistance to lodging and shattering. High productive tillering allows each plant to form 14 to 33 productive stems, significantly increasing overall yield. The 1000-grain weight varies from 43.4 to 55.2 grams, and protein content ranges from 13.3–14.4%, with gluten content reaching 30–34%. Recommended seeding rate is no more than 2.5–3 million seeds per hectare, sown at a depth of 2–3 cm.

The variety exhibits high frost and drought resistance, rated at 9 points, along with excellent winter hardiness and heat tolerance. Due to its strong resistance to major diseases such as brown, stem, and yellow rust, powdery mildew, hard and fusarium scab, as well as tolerance to leaf septoria, peronosporosis, and root rots, this variety does not require fungicide application during the growing season. This significantly reduces protection costs and simplifies agronomic practices.

OSPI Prior is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe, Polissia, and steppe regions. Farmers highly value this variety for its stable high productivity with minimal care and protection, as confirmed by the positive experience of many agrarians.
