Description OMSKAYA 32
OMSKAYA 32 is a medium-early soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety, distinguished by high resistance to lodging and large, heavy grains. The mass of 1000 grains varies within the range of 32-42 g, indicating the fullness and quality of the grain. The plant is semi-erect, the stem is weakly developed with a medium waxy coating, and the flag leaf possesses a strong waxy coating and weak anthocyanin pigmentation of the ears. The spike is cylindrical, dense or of medium density, white in color, with a straight narrow shoulder and a slightly curved short tooth. The grain is egg-shaped, colored, with a long awn. The variety is characterized by good drought resistance and high resistance to lodging, exceeding standards by 0.5-1 points. It is also resistant to powdery bunt and powdery mildew, which increases its reliability in various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is from 76 to 85 days, which allows considering the variety as medium-maturing. The bread-making qualities of the wheat are good, which makes it valuable for the production of quality flour and bakery products. OMSKAYA 32 is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the West Siberian, East Siberian, Middle Volga regions, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan and the Penza region. Average yield in the West Siberian region reaches 23.4 c/ha, in the East Siberian region — 28.2 c/ha, and maximum yield in some regions exceeded 57 c/ha. Due to its high agronomic and technological characteristics, the variety is widely used in agriculture and is valued for the stability and quality of the crop.
