Maria

Wheat variety Maria is an early-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in steppe zones. Plant height reaches 85 cm, ensuring good resistance and ease of harvest. The yield potential of the variety ranges from 5.0 to 9.0 tons per hectare, with 1000-grain weight of 42-45 grams. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to various diseases and stress factors, making it a reliable choice for farmers. The grain contains protein in the range of 13.2-15.4%, indicating high quality raw material for grain usage.

The Maria variety was registered in 2013 and developed by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine. Thanks to cooperation with the Turkish seed company Semila Seed, the variety has been adapted and successfully cultivated in various regions of Turkey, including Central, Western, and Eastern parts of the country, as well as the Aegean and Marmara Seas and Frigia. Under these conditions, the average yield of the variety reaches 10.5 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity and adaptability to different climatic conditions.

Moreover, the grain of the Maria variety is characterized by gluten content around 32% and protein content around 12%, making it attractive for producing high-quality flour and bakery products. The variety is intended for grain use and combines high yield, resistance to adverse factors, and good technological properties, ensuring its competitiveness in the seed and agricultural product markets.
