KRASNOKUTKA 13 is a mid-ripening spring hard wheat variety, developed at the Krasnokutsk Breeding and Experimental Station of the NIIS Kh South-East. The variety's pedigree includes hybrids Gordeiform 2946, Gordeiform 2934, and Leukurum 3000. The plants have an erect or semi-erect bush type, awned spike, white, medium density with a strong waxy coating. The grain is large, white, highly vitreous with a vitreous content of up to 97%, ensuring high product quality. The variety is characterized by light phenol coloring and high drought resistance, making it particularly valuable for risky farming zones. KRASNOKUTKA 13 stands out for its high yield and competitiveness. In variety trials, yield exceeded standard varieties by 15-20%, reaching a maximum of 49.5 c/ha in the Republic of Tatarstan. The variety is resistant to lodging and recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Middle Volga, Urals, and Western Steppes of the Orenburg region. The average duration of the vegetative period is 77-83 days, corresponding to the mid-ripening type. Special attention deserves the technological qualities of the grain: high microsedimentation indicators (42 mm) and yellowness index of flour (23.1%) ensure excellent pasta properties. Due to the high protein and raw gluten content, the grain of KRASNOKUTKA 13 variety is in high demand for the production of high-quality pasta products. This variety is the optimal choice for agrarians seeking a stable and quality yield in arid climate conditions.
