Wheat BHW20GW0009

Precision genetics for superior grain quality

Working with hard wheat varieties requires predictable performance, and the BHW20GV0009 from BASF S.A. delivers exactly that. Originating from Brazilian breeding programs, this winter wheat variety is designed for growers who prioritize consistency and specific grain quality metrics. In the field, it proves to be a highly manageable crop, offering reliable development cycles.

Field performance and harvest efficiency

From an operator's perspective, the plant height of 90-100 cm is a significant advantage. The stems provide excellent standability, which is a major factor in minimizing harvest losses. When you are running a combine, a uniform crop height means smoother operation, fewer headers adjustments, and higher efficiency per hectare.

• Development: Winter wheat type requiring precise vernalization timing.
• Agronomic Focus: Hard wheat variety tailored for professional milling and durum requirements.
• Structure: Sturdy 90-100 cm stems that minimize the risk of lodging.

Operational insights

This variety thrives under intensive management practices. It is not designed for neglect; rather, it responds aggressively to well-timed micronutrient applications and balanced fertilization programs. Due to the high germination energy of the seeds, you can expect uniform emergence, which simplifies early-stage field monitoring. If you manage the moisture levels and nutrient availability during critical growth stages, BHW20GV0009 rewards you with superior grain consistency and high test weight. It is a solid choice for those looking to maximize the output of their arable land through professional crop management.
