Harpiya: The Technological Potential of Winter Wheat

The breeding solutions implemented by Voskor-Agro in the "Harpiya" soft winter wheat variety are designed to maximize the ear's potential while maintaining yield stability under Ukraine's variable climate conditions. An engineering-focused approach to plant biology has balanced physiological development processes during stem elongation and grain formation.

Morphophysiological Breakdown

• Stem Architecture: Lodging resistance is achieved through a thickened culm wall, which is critical for intensive agricultural practices and the application of high nitrogen rates.
• Root System Development: Deep penetration of secondary roots minimizes the plant's dependence on moisture deficits during critical tillering phases.
• Ear Type: As a soft wheat variety, Harpiya demonstrates high plasticity regarding sowing dates, allowing for efficient utilization of the available growing season to accumulate dry biomass.

Practical application of this variety shows a predictable response to mineral nutrition. Due to its genetically inherent resistance to temperature fluctuations, the crop maintains its productivity potential even during late spring frosts. The optimization of the plant’s internal structure minimizes grain loss during harvesting, making this variety a precise technological tool for agronomists aiming to increase the profitability of every hectare.
