Wheat Dolphin

The SGI Legacy: «Dolphin» Winter Wheat

The «Dolphin» winter wheat variety, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (National Center for Seed and Cultivar Investigation), represents a staple in Ukrainian grain production. This variety was engineered to meet the needs of producers looking for an intensive-type crop that bridges the gap between high genetic potential and real-world environmental adaptability.

Production Potential and Agronomic Profile

Classified as a soft winter wheat, «Dolphin» is designed for consistency. It offers a potential yield of 6–7 tons per hectare, making it a competitive choice for farms focusing on optimizing their input technology to maximize return on investment.

• Crop type: Winter wheat.
• Origin: Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (Ukraine).
