Wheat variety «Bezenchukskaya 182» is a spring durum wheat developed by Russian breeders, specifically FGБNU «Samara Research Institute of Breeding and Planting Named after N.M. Tulaykov» and the Federal Altai Scientific Center of Agrobiotechnology. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by plant height ranging from 49 to 73 cm, a cylindrical prismatic ear of medium density with an emerald coloration of the flower at the booting stage, and early, synchronous heading. The grain is elongated, white in color, with a short awn; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 45 grams, and natural density is 767 g/l.
The «Bezenchukskaya 182» variety is distinguished by high resistance to drought and lodging, as well as good retention of productive tillering until harvest. The average vegetation period is 78-90 days. Yield ranges from 13 to 22 c/ha, reaching an average of 21.2 c/ha in Kostanay region, and up to 26.8 c/ha at Kazaakhstana SSS. Despite high productivity, the variety is susceptible to powdery bunt, stem rust, and root rots, but has low susceptibility to brown rust.
Wheat «Bezenchukskaya 182» possesses good milling and baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of pasta products. Protein content in the grain reaches 14.6%, raw gluten is 30.4%, and vitreousness is 95.7%, ensuring high product quality. It is recommended for cultivation in regions with similar climatic conditions, including the Middle-Volga, Lower-Volga, and Urals regions, as well as the Kostanay region.
