RAGT BELANOX is a simple two-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) of early maturity, intended for grain and silage production in various regions. The plant is tall with curved leaves of medium width and medium angle between leaf blade and stem. The ear is cylindrical, medium or long, thin, with medium-length peduncle and medium number of rows of kernels. The kernel is intermediate type, closer to dent, with orange or yellow coloring of the upper part. Anthocyanin pigmentation on the plant is weak or absent on roots and leaf sheaths, but strong on ear stalk. The tassel flowering time is early, with medium density and medium length lateral branches. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. In the Central Chernozem region, the average grain yield is about 83.4 c/ha, in the Volga region — 74.8 c/ha, and in the North Caucasus region — 46.7 c/ha, exceeding standards by 12-19%. The vegetative period varies from 102 to 116 days depending on the region. Grain moisture at harvest ranges from 21-27%, facilitating storage and processing. The hybrid shows drought resistance and plasticity to agronomic factors, making it a reliable choice for various growing conditions. RAGT BELANOX has good disease resistance: resistant to common rust, moderately resistant to stalk rot, weakly affected by bacterial blight and ear mold. However, it may suffer from moderate fusarium ear rot and stalk borer damage. Due to its characteristics and stable productivity, the hybrid is widely used for grain and silage production, ensuring high efficiency and quality of harvest.
