DescriptionORIGAMI
The "Origami" Rose – a compact shrub growing 70 to 90 cm tall and about 60–80 cm wide, distinguished by its vibrant bicolor foliage with light apricot-yellow centers and salmon-red petal edges. The flowers are double-flowered, 8–10 cm in diameter, featuring geometrically sharp curves that create the illusion of folded paper in origami technique. They open in star-shaped clusters and bloom in waves from May to late autumn, providing long-lasting decorative effect.
The shrub has a densely branched surface root system, making it drought-resistant and capable of quickly recovering its shape after pruning. For optimal growth, it is recommended to plant in sunny spots or light partial shade on loose, fertile soil with good drainage (sandy-clay, pH around 6.5). Regular but moderate watering and mulching of the root zone in autumn will help maintain the plant's health.
"Origami" is easy to care for: light pruning should be done in early spring (pruning group 2), and the shrub may need covering from severe frosts, especially during the first three years. Thanks to its high frost resistance up to -23 °C and disease resistance, this rose will become a reliable garden, border, and alpine hill decoration.
