The "Shustrik" watermelon variety is an early-ripening hybrid that reaches fruiting 75-85 days after germination. The plants are creeping and are intended for cultivation primarily in polytunnels, which allows for a stable harvest under a moderate climate. For planting, sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of April, followed by transplanting into the ground at the end of May – beginning of June. Seedlings are grown for 30-35 days, after which the plants are tied to a trellis, removing side shoots up to a height of 50 cm and pinching back subsequent growth above the 1-3rd leaf. Irrigation should be moderate, especially during fruit ripening, and the planting scheme is 70x100 cm.

The "Shustrik" watermelon fruits have a round shape and a relatively small size, with each weighing about 1-1.2 kg. The rind is dark green, while the flesh is characterized by a rich dark red color, a tender grainy structure, and high sweetness. A distinguishing feature of the variety is the near complete absence of seeds, which makes it particularly appealing to consumers. The yield reaches 7-10 kg per square meter, indicating the high productivity of the variety.
