Watermelon Bomba

Field Performance of the «Bomba» Watermelon

When working with Origene Seeds genetics, you expect reliability, and the «Bomba» hybrid certainly delivers. This ultra-early variety allows for a harvest cycle of just 60-70 days, which is critical for hitting the peak market price at the start of the season. From a grower's perspective, this is a high-efficiency crop.

Disease Resistance and Maintenance

The biggest challenge in watermelon production is Fusarium wilt. The «Bomba» hybrid stands out here due to its strong genetic resistance. The plant shows excellent vigor and a root system that maintains fruit size even during peak summer heat waves.

Yield and Marketability

• Weight: The fruit consistently hits the 9.0-12.0 kg range, which is the most sought-after size for retail chains.
• Uniformity: The round shape is ideal for loading and shipping, minimizing storage space issues.
• Quality: The flesh is a deep, vibrant red with a crisp texture that holds up well during transport.

Management of the crop is straightforward. It responds well to standard fertigation protocols and does not require complex adjustments. If you are looking for a variety that combines rapid maturity with low maintenance and consistent, marketable fruit size, the «Bomba» from Origene Seeds is a solid professional choice.
