The mass of watermelons ranges from 3 to 6.2 kilograms; the medium-thick and dense rind provides good protection for the fruits. The flesh is red, juicy, tender, and granular, with a medium-sweet taste. Seeds are of medium size, brown in color with a dotted and speckled pattern. The variety yields 15-18 kilograms per plant, corresponding to approximately 3.1 kilograms of marketable fruits per square meter. CARLSON watermelon is highly transportable and can maintain its marketable qualities for 30 days after harvest. The variety is resistant to diseases and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various conditions.
