Watermelon variety Max Plus is a mid-early maturing variety with a fruiting period of 80 to 85 days. The fruits have a round-oval shape with smooth dark green skin covered with a bluish bloom, weighing from 3.1 to 4 kilograms. The flesh is pink, with a sweet and pleasant taste, and the seeds are small and light brown. This variety is adapted to northern melon-growing regions and has good cold tolerance, allowing successful cultivation in cooler climates. Max Plus is characterized by high yield — under optimal growing conditions with sufficient light and heat, 30 to 35 tons of fruit per hectare can be harvested, of which 80-90% are marketable. The variety is resistant to diseases such as anthracnose, fusarium wilt, and powdery mildew, contributing to a stable and high-quality harvest. Cultivation is possible both as seedlings and without seedlings, with seeds sown at a depth of 3-5 cm, and seedlings emerging approximately after 6 days. Watermelon fruits of the Max Plus variety are suitable for long-term storage and transportation — they retain their marketable qualities for more than 60 days. Due to this, watermelons are well-suited for long-distance distribution and extended use. Additionally, this variety is excellent for pickling, expanding its applications in culinary and home canning.
