Tatius

Watermelon Tatius F1 is a mid-season hybrid specifically developed for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine, but also suitable for various climatic zones within the country. It is characterized by high productivity, achieving yields up to 62.1 t/ha, and good cold resistance, making it a reliable choice for farmers. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as Fusarium wilt and anthracnose, which contributes to maintaining high-quality harvests.

The fruits of watermelon Tatius have a round shape with a weight ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 kg. The rind is light green with dark green stripes, while the flesh exhibits a rich pink-red hue and excellent taste qualities, receiving a tasting score of 8.5 to 9.6 points. The seeds are large, with a brown shell adorned with black spots. The dry soluble solids content is 8.9–9.7 %, total sugar content is 7.2–8.4 %, and vitamin C content reaches 9.3–10.3 mg per 100 g of product.

The hybrid belongs to the mid-season ripening group with a period from planting to harvest of approximately 80–82 days. Watermelon Tatius withstands transportation well and can be stored for more than 30 days, making it convenient for commercial cultivation and marketing. Due to its qualities and resistance, this variety is suitable both for commercial sale and personal consumption.
